Does the official statement of faith of the IPHC embrace the "gap theory" or do you hold to a literal Genesis, 6 day creation week about 6 thousand years ago?

The church does not have an established position on the "gap theory." Although not formally established, the general consensus of IPHC is that Genesis 1, 2 affirms that God is the Creator of all that exists. We allow some diversity in personal opinion as to whether the "six days" constitute "24 hour days" or rather refer to longer periods of development.
